Jenna's First Angel Game

It was nice day at the Big A. Jenna's parents (especially her father!!) are Angel fans. She's going to grow up watching baseball. April 26 was a big day for us. It was Jenna's first baseball game. Angels won that day against the Mariners (8-0).

We didn't get to the game until the 4th inning. We were in no rush to get there on time. We didn't think she could last the entire game anyway. Jenna didn't enjoy being at the seats too much. I spent most innings walking around her the Diamond Club Restaurant.

Jenna's parents are definitely more excited about her going to the game.
Jenna: " Are you blind blue!"

I am obsessed with her cankles.

4 Month Pictures

Jenna's getting cuter and cuter :) She has good head control (see her posing for a picture on her Bimbo above). She's weighs 12 lbs 4 oz. She's starting to enjoy and figure out her toys now. She enjoys sitting in her jumperoo and play mat, especially in the mornings. She's starting to grab her toys and keeps it in her hand for a few seconds. She still hates tummy time, but we're persisting.

Happy Easter!!!We spent Easter at the park with a couple of friends from out of town (Steve from Cincinnati and Mike from Princeton). The guys played bocce and drank beers. Jenna and I laid under a tree. She loves looking up at the trees. She was enjoying herself so much she'd laugh.

We made our way back home after the park for Easter dinner. Tita TinTin took care of the whole thing for us while we were out at the park :)

I had to post this picture of Jenna and Mike. This is one of my favorite look from Jenna. She gives us the "O face" just before she lets out a big cry.

First Trip to Fresno!!

We went on a road trip to Fresno to celebrate Brent's 10th birthday and Carson's first communion.

Cousin Alexa was such a cutie. She was really curious about Jenna. She couldn't get her hands off Jenna. I think she thinks Jenna is a doll.

Jenna rarely drinks from a bottle, but she acts like a pro every time.

Jenna doesn't have a lot of hair (yet).

Jenna's 4 Months Now!

Still so cute!

After her 4th month wellness checkup on March 30, she slept for 10 ½ hours that night. Then 5 ½ hours the next night, and so far she’s been sleeping at least 7-8 hours each night (woohoo!).

She is starting to prefer sitting up instead of being on her back. Her favorite thing to do right now are baby sit ups. I also introduced her to her jumperoo (thanks Auntie Cynthia and Uncle Al!). She is slowly enjoying the jumperoo. She drools all over it and she can only spin counter clockwise.

Her smile continues to melt my heart. She’s still very happy in the morning :) I think a laugh from her is coming soon. She still smiles with her mouth wide open but sometimes you’ll hear a “ga—“with her smile. She likes being tickled and kisses on her belly. She loves it when you make funny faces and weird noise. Thank goodness Jenna and I are alone most of the time cuz I do some silly moves to make her smile. She’s getting pretty good at grasping a big chunk of my hair. She enjoys grabbing my cheeks and pulling my lips. She's definitely getting a little more playful.

2nd Wellness Checkup

Jenna went to her 4 month wellness check up today. She now weighs 11 lbs 10 oz; her head measures 40 cm in circumference and she’s now 23 inches long. Her weight and height are in the 10th percentile and the circumference of her head is in the 40th percentile. I honestly thought between Jason’s tall stature and my voluptuous curves, we would have a tall and chubby baby. I call her my sexy little thing.

Since this was a new doctor we were seeing, I didn’t think we were going to go right in to her 2nd set of vaccinations. The first time Jenna had shots back in February (oh so long ago), she was so good. Dad held her as I distracted her with my “I love you”. She had a surprised look in her face right after she got poked by the needle, she gave us one big cry, then she was back to normal as if nothing ever happened. The 2nd set of shots today did not go as well. The nurse gave her 5 shots!!! She got on both arms, one on the left leg and two shots on the right. Again, dad held her as I was distracting her. As soon as the first needle pierced through her left arm, she had a worried look on her face, she turned beat red, her smile turned upside down, her head started shaking left to right, everything turned sour; she cried the rest of the time. Somehow I managed to calm her down after the nurse left the room. She did not have adverse effects to the vaccinations (phew). I gave her a lot of love today. Doctor says Jenna is healthy and growing normally. Dr. Al suggested that we observe Jenna’s behavior on how she sees food. Apparently babies around her age may be ready for something more than just milk. I’m not sure mom and dad are ready for that yet.
